Abstract
The high cost of commercial feeds and medicine is the major problem
encountered by poultry raisers. Hence this study was conducted to evaluate the
performance of broilers supplemented with varying levels of Oregano Juice (15, 20, 25
and 30) in the drinking water. This was conducted at Nangalisan Bacnotan La Union
from November 24, 2015 to December 28, 2015. Using Randomized Complete Block
Design, a total of seventy five day old chicks were randomly distributed into five
treatments with three blocks.
The result of the study showed that the performance of birds supplemented with
Oregano Juice were all comparable to those supplemented with commercial antibiotic in
terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio and profit
above feed, medicine and stock cost
