Abstract
Mungbean is one of the leading grain legume of the country as a major source of protein diet for Filipinos and could somehow alleviate food security. However, there is a need to evaluate the growth and yield performance of mungbean variety (Sadiri) during the dry season under DMMMSU conditions as influenced by lactic acid bacteria serum employing the RCBD in four blocks. This was conducted at the experimental farm of DMMMSU - NLUC, College of Agricultural Sciences, Bacnotan, La Union from November 30, 2012 to February 16, 2013. Based on the result of the study, the application of BSR (40 kg N/ha) to mungbean plants significantly produced the most number of pods per plant. In terms of number of days to emergence, flowering, plant height and seed yield, no significant variations were noted.
