Abstract
Early childhood is the most important stage in the life of an individual as it is where all learning begins. This study intended to help the preschool beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya to ensure their holistic development.
The study used the Revised Philippines ECCD checklist developed by a team of experts from the University of the Philippines, Diliman. The pre-test and post-test of the respondents were statistically treated to measure their development on the seven domains. After conducting the pre-test, a play activity for the children was developed. It was run for one week every afternoon at the researchers’ house.
Based on the findings, there is an increase on the gain scores of the respondents and it shows that from a significant and slight delay of development, the respondents overall development improve into an average It implies that the play activities given were effective in helping the respondents improve their development holistically.
