Abstract
The City of San Fernando enacted the City Ordinance 2011-13 that regulates the sale, serving, and drinking of liquor in the places of entertainment, business establishments, and public places and provides penalties for violation thereof This survey determined the implementation and compliance of the 12 sari-sari stores to the abovementioned ordinance as assessed by the 48 barangay captains, four licensing inspector officers, one project evaluation officer, and household heads. Their responses to the questionnaire checklist were validated by the researchers using document review and observation. Based on the frequencies and percentages, results revealed the sari-sari stores in the City of San Fernando, La Union do not comply with the provisions on licensing and operation, posting of notice, and penalties for violation while the employees concerned are not strictly implementing the said ordinance.
