Abstract
Parliamentary Procedure is the body of rules, ethics and customs governing meetings and other operations of organizations, legislative bodies, and other deliberative bodies. Thus, practicing Parliamentary Procedure will make the work of government more effective and efficient. This study aimed to determine the level of awareness and the extent of adoption of Parliamentary Procedure in the First Class Municipalities of La Union. This study used a mixed method research design utilizing survey method, interview and documentary analysis. Data were gathered from barangay officials, which consist of 33 Barangay Chairmen, 233 Barangay Kagawads and 33 SK Chairmen in La Union. Results revealed that the barangay officials of La Union are highly aware of Parliamentary Procedure. Consequently, the Parliamentary Procedure is highly adopted. The thesis output of the study was deemed to be highly valid as validated by ten (10) experts.
