Abstract
The economic contribution of the franchising industry, specifically beauty salons cannot be ignored. This study described the operations and marketing strategies of registered franchised beauty salons in the City of San Fernando, La Union. Data were gathered from the four registered beauty salons using a survey questionnaire and were analyzed using frequency counts and percentages. Findings revealed that the franchisees were college graduates with an annual income of more than Php. 10,000. These salons operate within the whole year from 9am to 6pm using the FIFO inventory technique. These salons follow ISO 9004:2009 quality standard. Moreover, product bundling, on-site and off-site servicing, personal selling and local advertising with an appeal for profit, admiration, health and environmental consciousness, cash and price discounting ,event sponsoring and local radio network were their marketing strategies.
