Abstract
This study determined how different animal manures affected the yield of ubi (kinampay variety) in terms of number and weight of ubi tubers. A total of 75 ubi tubers were used in this study. Five treatments, To (garden soil), T1(carabao manure, T2(chicken manure) T3 (cow manure), T4(goat manure) were tested on ubi tuber. The tubers were planted in a sack containing the different treatments. The sack was arranged using the Randomized Complete Block Design on a piece of land with an area of 20 square meters. The experimental site was at Barangay Bateng, Mangaldan, Pangasinan. The experiment was conducted from July I to November 4, 2001. The Analysis of Variance (ANOV A) set at 0 .05 and 0 .01 levels of significance were used to determine if there were significant variations among treatments and Duncan's Multiple Range Test was used to determine where significant difference lies. The result showed that the different animal manures significantly affected the yield performance of ubi in terms of the number and weight of tubers. Carabao manure (T I) had a significantly more heavier tubers.
