Abstract
This study deals with the profile and psychological well-being of farmers in Rural
and Urban areas in Caba and San Fernando City La Union. The descriptive research
design was used in the study. Using convenient sampling method, the researchers got 40
farmers as respondents. The constructed questionnaire was used to gather data about
their profile and psychological well-being. The findings of the study reveal that in rural
areas, the respondents have low level of psychological well-being with autonomy,
personal growth, positive relation, purpose in life, environmental mastery and self acceptance. In urban areas, the respondents have low level of psychological well-being
with autonomy, personal growth, positive relation, purpose in life, environmental
mastery and self-acceptance. Using the t-test, the respondents from rural and urban
areas have significant difference in autonomy, environmental mastery, and positive
relation. On the other hand their personal growth, purpose in life and self-acceptance
do not differ significantly.
