Abstract
The transition to online work and studies during the COVID-J9 pandemic has resulted in an increase in screen time and associated posture issues among people. The creation of a mobile application for posture detection is suggested as a solution to this problem, enabling people to assess their posture at home. The incidence of postural issues and their adverse impact on physical and mental health have been addressed in prior studies. Based on these findings, the goal of this project is to create a mobile application that incorporates Mediapipe as a tool in identifying the correct and incorrect body posture, giving users a convenient way to keep track of their posture. The study used a descriptive and developmental research design. Through document analysis, the posture detection mobile application's functional and nonfunctional requirements were identified The Rapid Application Development (RAD) model, a type of Agile software development method, ..served as a guide for the creation of the mobile application. Requirements Planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover are the four steps that make up the RAD methodology, which is known for its effectiveness and quality. The posture identification technique was implemented using the Google created Mediapipe framework, which makes use of pre-made machine learning models and tools for object recognition and position prediction. The mobile application was tested in terms of validity, reliability, and usability. This study contributes to the field of posture detection by offering a mobile application that uses Mediapipe for real-time posture assessment. The application has a chance to prevent long-term health problems linked to bad posture by giving people a means to check and modify their posture at home.
