Abstract
Microfinancing came into existence to respond to the call for help of those people who need to earn and survive but do not have capability to work for different organizations due to inability to meet the job requirements and are not given the opportunity to establish businesses by securing loans from big financing institutions. Microfinancing organizations in the Philippines, specifically in the City of San Fernando, La Union stood resilient and survived the pandemic and are now exhibiting a high degree of seriousness in operating their business and helping the people. These organizations are selective of its workers, and are keen on business planning as evident in their strategies. It was found in this study that the degree of seriousness of the pre and post pandemic performance of microfinancing in terms of innovation, pro-activeness, risk communication and marketing. It was further found that there is a significant relationship between the degree of seriousness in addressing the impact of pre and post pandemic operations and the profile of employees. Given the results of the study, it is recommended that organizations ensures that employees are well-taken care of a sound business plan be formulated for the sustainability. The government should encourage business owners to go by the principles of "from surviving to thriving".
