Abstract
This study presents the design and development of the Microcontroller-Based Temperature and Humidity Control System that functions as a chemical storage cabinet, providing reliable storage for chemistry laboratories. The system uses sensors to measure temperature and humidity and automatically controls devices such as air-conditioning unit (ACU), humidifier, and exhaust fan when the levels exceed the set limits. Its main purpose is to provide a reliable and automated way to maintain safe storage conditions for chemicals. The system also displays real-time readings for easy monitoring. The results demonstrate that the developed system effectively maintains the desired environmental parameters within the cabinet when it is placed indoors. By integrating monitoring and automatic control, the proposed design enhances the reliability and safety of chemical storage. The Microcontroller-Based Temperature and Humidity Control System, functioning as a chemical storage cabinet, offers a practical, cost-effective, and dependable approach for laboratories, schools, and industrial facilities that require a controlled chemical storage environment.
