Abstract
The developed automated water pump system protection focuses on enhancing the operational safety and efficiency of water pump systems, specifically for applications in both residential and institutional. It aims to address issues related to water pump overloading, dry-run operation, and electrical faults which commonly lead to damage, increased maintenance costs, and water supply disruptions. The proposed system integrates automated control and protection mechanisms that monitor the water level, pressure, voltage, and current to prevent potential system failures. It is designed to ensure a cost-effective, energy-efficient, and sustainable solution that prolongs the lifespan of the water pump system while maintaining a reliable water supply. The inclusion of renewable energy sources, such as solar power, is considered to minimize operational costs and contribute to environmental sustainability. The technical design of this automated water pump system is expected to support the university's broader efforts in sustainability and infrastructure resilience, while also serving as a model for similar applications in other communities.
