Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the adaptability and trial location of two potato varieties. There were two (2) treatments used, replicated three (3) times in both locations, using the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The two locations, used were Pugo, La Union and Tubao, La Union from November 23, 2003 to March 2004. Sixty (60) tubers from each of the two varieties, VI-Raniag and V2- Solibao were utilized in the study. The analysis of variance was used to determine if there are significant differences among the treatments. Results of the study showed that the two potato varieties are significantly different from each other. Raniag performed significantly better than Solibao in the two locations as to the number and weight of marketable tubers. Moreover, Pugo, La Union was found to be a better location to produce potatoes than Tubao, La Union.
