Abstract
Employee motivation is an important factor to assess the employees to continue to grow and develop job and career enhancing skills in order to be competitive and have a good employee retention in the organization. The study aimed to determine the level of Employee Career Motivation and Development of Selected Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) in the City of San Fernando, La Union. This is a descriptive research; a survey questionnaire was used to gather data; and mean, Kendal Tau b. and Spearman Rho were used to analyze the data. The employees’ level of career motivation in terms of career resilience, career insight, and career identity are high while the employees’ extent of career development was rated high in terms of career planning and very high in terms of career management. Furthermore, findings show that there is a significant relationship between career motivation and development of employees.
