Abstract
Guyabano is one of the most commonly medicinal plants against wide range of diseases.
The study was conducted at Brgy. Casiaman, Bacnotan, La Union from February 22, 2017 to
March 30, 2017 to determine the performance of broilers fed with varying levels (2%, 4%, 6%,
8%) of guyabano leaf meal as feed extender. Using the Randomized Complete Block Design
(RCBD), seventy five 14-day old broilers were distributed randomly into five treatments
replicated three times with five birds per experimental unit.
The result of the study revealed that there were no significant differences among the
different levels of leaf meal as feed extender and that of the pure BSC in terms of final weight,
gain in weight, feed conversion ratio, and profit above feed medicine and stock cost and
significant differences was noted on the feed consumption of the experimental birds.
