Abstract
The high cost of commercial feeds and medicine is the major problem encountered by poultry raisers. Hence, this study was conducted to evaluate the performance of broilers fed with medicinal herbs (Lagundi, Sambong and Oregano (10%)). This was conducted at Poblacion Sur, San Gabriel, La Union from February 22, 2017 to March 29, 2017. Using a Randomized Complete Block Design, a total of sixty (14 day old chicks) were randomly distributed into four treatments with three blocks.
The result of the study showed that the performance of birds fed with Medicinal Herbs were all comparable to those fed with commercial feeds in terms of final weight, feed consumption, feed conversion ratio, cost of feed to produce a kg gain in weight and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost.
