Abstract
Due to the need for sustainable and low cost technologies for eggplant production, this study was conducted to find out the feasibility and profitability of substituting half of the recommended fertilizer with the increasing concentration of mature coconut water at different frequency of application. The study was laid out in split plot design with three replications. Frequencies of application did not significantly affect the growth and yield of eggplant. results showed that plants applied with 50% BSR + 50% to 100% coconut water solution gave comparable result to plants applied with 100% BSR in terms of plant height at maturity, number of days to flowering, and production of flowers. But in terms of weight, marketable and non-marketable fruits, there were no market differences on the different concentrations of coconut water applied to eggplant. Moreover there was no marked significant result on the interaction effect among the frequency and concentration of coconut water application.
