Abstract
Pesticides which are most prevalent in agricultural areas, can affect the environment and human health. In this study the pesticide usage of farmers in the municipality of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur is determined.
Descriptive survey method of research was used through the aid of questionnaire and supported by interview and observation. A total of two hundred fifty (250) farmers were selected as respondents of the study obtained through stratified random sampling from the eight (8) barangays in San Emilio, Ilocos Sur. Frequency counts and means were used in the analysis of data.
The research shows that pesticide usage in the municipality of San Emilio, Ilocos Sur is high, resulting to high effects on environment and human health.
