Abstract
The study aimed to design and develop an OSCS for DMMMSU-NLUC, Bacnotan, La Union to provide a faster and more accessible method of processing student clearance through an online clearance portal. Specifically, it aimed to (a) determine the socio- demographic profile of the respondents; (b) determine the vulnerability of the system; (c) to assess the level of acceptability of the system as to functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, reliability, security, and portability and (d) determine the significant difference on the perception of respondents according to sex and type of respondents.
The results were: (a) the socio-demographic profile of the respondents showed that most of the respondents were female and most of the respondents were at the age of 25 years and below; (b) the system can withstand a security attack; (c) the system is acceptable; and (d) there is no significant difference on the perception of the respondents on the acceptability of the developed system as to functional stability, usability, reliability, security, and portability. However, the difference of perception as to the performance efficiency of the developed system has a significant difference.
