Abstract
This study was carried out to Modify, and Test the Performance of the Hammer Mill Type Powdering Machine in terms of Powdering Capacity, Powdering Efficiency, and Product Recovery. The design of the machine was done at Cabaroan, Bacnotan, La Union. The test of performance of the machine was undertaken at the Processing Laboratory room of the Agricultural Engineering Department of DMMMSU-NLUC, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union, from October to February 2005.
The powdering machine has the body frame, powdering assembly, and 2-hp electric motor. It has an overall dimension of 830mm in height, 570mm in length, and 320mm in width.
The powdering machine, which could be operated by one person, had a maximum powdering capacity of 55.67g/15min. It is recommended that a modification be made to attain higher machine performance.
