Abstract
This study was conducted specifically to: (1) determine the profile of cooperatives and respondents’ profile (2) determine the areas where women were actively involved; and (3) determine the level of management and entrepreneurial competencies of women in the management of cooperatives. Using purposive random sampling, the data were drawn from 120 respondents of cooperatives in 21 selected cooperatives with the aid of questionnaire and analyzed average, percentage and weighted mean. Findings revealed that majority of the respondents were female, had 39.97 average years of age; high school graduate. Most of them were married and member of the cooperative for 6 years. The cooperative had been operating for the past 16 years in the cooperative. Many (46%) of the cooperative has a housekeeper and their membership. Trend was 1-100 and many of the cooperative have a net worth/capital of 500,001-1,000,000. All the respondents in cooperative were aware in RA 7192 and they also in favor the same privilege of women and men.
