Abstract
This study focuses on the development, fabrication and evaluation of an Enhanced Root Crop Washer. It deals with the function of washing various root crops available in the market such as peanuts, sweet potato, ginger, carrots and cassava. Project development research design was applied to this project study and enabled the researchers to develop an improved machine which was also tested and evaluated through the descriptive evaluative research design. Findings show that the machine has a high cleaning efficiency and a throughput capacity of 0.22136 kg/sec which indicates that the ERCW is a highly efficient machine.
