Abstract
This study is aimed on the development of the Billing System of Bacnotan District Hospital. Specifically, the study aimed to determine the availability of ICT resources of Bacnotan District Hospital in terms of hardware, software and peopleware; to develop a Billing System of Bacnotan District Hospital; and aimed to determine the Level of Usability of the developed Billing System of Bacnotan District Hospital in terms of Efficiency, Affect, Helpfulness, Control and Learnability.
This study made used of the descriptive and developmental type of research design and utilized the Unified Process Model as its software methodology in the development of the system. Survey checklist, survey questionnaire coupled with interview were used in data gathering and make use of frequency count and mean to quantify and analyzed the data gathered. Findings of the study showed that the ICT resources of Bacnotan District Hospital was sufficient and can maintain a network-based billing system; the developed Billing System of Bacnotan District Hospital was created with the use of the Unified Process Model, Visual Basic 2008 to generate the interface and functionality of the system and MySQL as its database platform; the determined level of usability of the Billing System of Bacnotan District Hospital is generally perceived by the end-users as Very Highly Usable.
