Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the morphological characteristics, management practices, distribution based on morphological characteristics and demographic profile of the native chicken raisers in La Union District 1. It was conducted from December 2013 to January 2014. Both male and female native chickens were sold. In morphological characteristics, most of the native chickens sold were having an earlobe color of red, a single comb type, plumage color of dalusapi, and a shank color of yellow. More than one-half of the respondents raised native chicken in a range system. In feeding management, one-half of the growers of native chicken feed them with domestic discard. The number one problem met was theft.
