Abstract
This study explores the perspectives of Bachelor of Arts in English Language (BAEL) students on internet linguistics, investigating their attitudes, perceptions, and experiences in digital communication. Through interviews, focus group discussions, and online correspondence, data were collected from fifteen BAEL students across different academic levels. Thematic and content analyses revealed three main themes: Digital Connectivity and Communication Patterns, Linguistic Adaptation and Variation Across Digital Platforms, and Language Evolution and Sociocultural Influences. The findings shed light on how BAEL students engage with digital communication, adapt language across platforms, and perceive the role of internet linguistics. This research contributes to understanding contemporary communication practices and informs strategies for fostering effective online interactions among diverse groups.
