Publication Quality management system awareness of offices in the Municipality of Aringay, La Union(Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus, 2024-06) Del Rosario, Daniel V.; Bautista, Debbie Ruth B.; Fernandez, Hannah Lee; Acojido, Jhuvaillee J.; Nemir, Mardave C.; Galleta, Darwin T.; Quinitip, Tiffany Ruth R.; Legaspi, Annaliza B.; Bayani, Keneth G.; Siong, Venus D.One important approach adopted by the Philippine government to enhance the effectiveness of its public services is mandating its agencies to adopt and implement a quality management system (QMS). In this study, the researchers determined the Quality Management System awareness of offices in the municipality of Aringay, La Union by determining the profile of the respondents, the level of awareness on the clauses of ISO 9001:2015 QMS, and if there is a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the level of awareness on the ISO 9001:2015 QMS. The survey included 112 employees out of 115 employees from non-ISO certified offices in Aringay, La Union for data collection and utilized frequency counts, percentages, and Chi-Square Test for data analysis. Findings revealed that the employees are mostly college graduates with fewer than five years of service, mainly in administrative roles within the Mayor's Office, MDRRM, and Municipal Health Office. This study aimed to assess the awareness of the 115 employees in the municipality of Luna, La Union about QMS. The descriptive correlation was used as a research design, while frequency counts, percentages, median type of average, and a 5-point Likert Scale are used to analyzed in the survey instrument. The findings show that the Employees’ employment status majority are (51.3%) contract of service or job order, almost half (45.2%) are 1-5 years in service, a few (20.9%) are working in the mayor’s office, some (22.6%) are designated as administrative aide I, and almost all (95.7%) are college graduate. The result of the study revealed that the LGU Employees are very aware of the QMS and there is a significant relationship between the level of awareness and respondents’ profile.
