Using pretest-posttest experimental research method, this study determined the effectiveness of DAMATH, in teaching Intermediate Algebra. Specifically, it sought answers to the following: the profile of the respondents along learning styles and third grading grade in Intermediate algebra; the performance of the experimental group exposed to DAMATH and the control group exposed to the conventional teaching method; the significant difference between their pretest and posttest scores, posttest scores, mean gain scores and formative test scores; and the significant relationship between the respondents’ profile and their performance in Intermediate Algebra. It employed the pretest-posttest controlled group research method using 28 matched pairs of respondents. Findings of this study showed that: (1) The two groups of respondents have varied learning styles. The control group was visual learners while the experimental group was auditory learners. There were more high performers in Intermediate Algebra in both groups during the third grading period. (2) The experimental group exposed to DAMATH, had higher performance level, than the control group. (3) There were significant differences between the performances of the experimental group and the control group found in the pretest-posttest scores, formative tests, and in the mean gain scores of the two groups. This led to the rejection of the null hypotheses. (4) Significant relationship exists between the third grading grade and performance in Intermediate Algebra of both groups of respondents while no profile was not associated with their performance. Based on the findings, this study concluded that the use of DAMATH in teaching Intermediate Algebra is effective.
