This study investigated the effect of a peer tutoring intervention on the problem solving skills of Grade 11 and Grade 12 students by comparing pre-test and post-test results between a control group and an experimental group. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to summarize and compare performance outcomes, while the Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test were employed to examine differences between and within the two groups. The findings indicate that the experimental group demonstrated significantly higher performance levels compared to the control group. While no statistically significant difference was observed between the groups in the pre-test, the post-test results revealed a significant improvement in favor of the experimental group. In addition, both groups exhibited statistically significant gains from pre-test to post-test, highlighting progress over time.
