dc.description.abstractSocial media platforms have become essential news outlets for the general public as well as useful tools for journalists. For this reason, this study was conducted to evaluate the level of effectiveness, usability, acceptability, and level of reach and engagement of the social media-based high school publication. This study utilized descriptive research design and is carried out in the Laboratory High School (LHS) of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University South La Union Campus with the students, faculty and staff as respondents. Utilizing adopted questionnaires and employing frequency counts, percentage, and median, this study found that the social media-based campus publication is largely simple to use, effective, acceptable, and is widely read and followed online. It also found that the LHS Forum readers usually access the internet at home with Facebook as the generally accessed social media platform. Further, the responses yielded three underlying themes when using the social media-based publication: reason, relation, and reaction.
