This study determined the Mathematical competency of senior secondary students in Agoo, La Union for the school year 2009-2010. Specifically, it determined 1) the profile of the students, 2) their level of mathematical competency 3) the relationship between some identified factors, 4) their attitude, 5) the appropriate prototype motivational activities to be developed. The study used the descriptive method, frequency count, percentages, weighted mean, correlation and t-test. The following conclusions were drawn: respondents fall within the prescribed school age, they were dominated by female, most of them were weak in Mathematics, and their Mathematical competency is significantly related to teacher, parents, and school-administration factor, but not to peer-factor.
