| dc.description.abstract | Feeding fish is labor-intensive and expensive. Fish kinds and sizes, farm size, and labor availability all affect how frequently fish are fed. This study was focused on the design, construction, and evaluation of an Automatic Fish Feeder (AFF) aimed at improving efficiency in aquaculture practices. The project adopted a project development-descriptive evaluative research design. The objectives were to (1) design and construct the AFF, (2) assess its technical soundness, technical performance, and acceptability, and (3) prepare an operations manual for the end users. Results showed that the AFF met user specifications and performed with excellent technical soundness and performance, and was rated as very highly acceptable. The researchers successfully prepared a comprehensive operations manual. The study concludes that the AFF is functional and promising, though improvements may be integrated such as mobility enhancements and remote control features. An operation manual for the Automatic Fish Feeder was made and it is ready for use. | |
