dc.description.abstractThe study sought to determine the needs and psychological profile of Grade 8 and 9 students with behavioral problems. Using the descriptive research design, questionnaire checklist and documentary analysis were used 1o obtain the profile of the respondents. The respondents of the study included 87 students and seven (7) experienced teachers and administrators who served as pool of experts in validating the questionnaire. Frequency count, percentage score, means, rank order, weighted mean, average weighted mean, Pearson Product Moment Coefficient Correlation (Pearson- ) and 1 - test were the statistical tools used in this study. Results of the study showed that the extent of behavioral problems of the students was found to be seldom experienced; and the different areas along family, social, academic, and personal variables were found to be a “need” from among the respondents. Profile variables on age and birth order are correlated with timid and dyscontrol dimensions. 1Q is related to family size and differences between 1Q and Year Level. The findings served as the basis in formulating an intervention program.
