dc.description.abstractThis study assessed the SLUC Student Housing Management as a basis for the formulation of a development program for Student Housing Management. It looked into 1) the demographic profile of the respondents; 2) the extent of influences of social and cultural, educational, accessibility, recreational and economic factors as to the reasons for the residency in the dormitory; 3) the ratio of facilities-equipment to the number of residents in the dormitory; 4) the extent of functionality of the physical facilities and equipment; 5) the extent of implementation of the dormitory policies and activities; 6) the extent of attainment of student housing objectives; 7) the capabilities and constraints of the Student Housing Management ; 8) the problems encountered by the dormitorians; as basis for 9) the proposed Student Housing Management Development Program. The study made use of the descriptive evaluative research design. The respondents of the study were the SLUC student boarders whose residency was at least two semesters, their parents and guardians and the present and previous House Administrators of the SLUC dormitories in Agoo, La Union during the School Year 2006-2007. Total enumeration was employed. Questionnaires, documentary analysis and ocular inspection were used in gathering data. For its validity, the questionnaire was presented to the thesis adviser, selected dormitory managers and OREC committee. For its reliability, 20 Mid La Union Campus (MLUC) student borders and their parents were utilized. The coefficient of reliability derived was .91 for student respondents and .86 for parent respondents, which indicated very high reliability.
