A rapid increase in volume and types of solid and hazardous waste due to continuous economic growth, urbanization, and industrialization, is becoming a burgeoning problem for national and local governments to ensure effective and sustainable management of waste. This research study aimed to design, fabricate and evaluate the Automatic Trash Segregator in terms of technical soundness, technical performances, level of acceptability, and to prepare an operations’ manual. The study used the project-development-descriptive-evaluative research design. This study found out that the construction of the Automated Trash Segregator was based on its design and specifications. The Automated Trash Segregator was very good in its level of technical soundness because the machine have durability on parts and simplicity on mechanism; the machine got a descriptive equivalent of excellent in the level of technical performance because the machine segregates metal and non-metal trash; and its level of acceptability got a highly acceptable because it is easy to maintain, acceptable appearance and affordability of the machine. An operational manual was developed for the Automated Trash Segregator.
