Abstract
This study aimed to determine the personality traits of CICOSAT college students as basis for the development of an intervention program. A descriptive-quantitative research design was employed to a sample of 261 college students. Frequency counts, average weighted means, percentages, Pearson and eta correlations were used to analyze the data gathered. Results showed that parents and peers attachments of the respondents were secured. Males elevated moderately high on mood, personal or emotional adjustment. Both male and female respondents displayed moderately high elevation features of cognitive functioning, deviant behaviors and denial. Females also showed moderately high levels of self-depreciation and sociability. Moreover, peer attachment is significantly negatively correlated with anxiety. Gender has significant relationship with hypochondriasts, denial, interpersonal problems, alienation, persecutory ideas, anxiety, impulse expression, social introversion, self-depreciation, and deviance behaviors. Hence, an intervention program for male and female college students was made.
