Questionnaire for teachers teaching style developed by Dunn and Dunn as well as learning styles by Fielder and Silverman were used to gather needed data. For the analysis and interpretation of the data the statistical tools used were mean, frequency count, percentage. Relationship between specific variables was statistically analyzed using chi-square. There were total of 196 pupil respondents taken as random sample from the total population of 386. Similarly, 14 teachers served as respondents of the study. Supplemental interview was done to get the bottom of the desired information as prescribed in the survey instruments. All data gathered were arranged, tabulated and analyzed using means, frequency counts, percentages, and well as chi-square. The Grade VI teachers were mature, predominantly female, all marries, MS/MA (major in Science) graduates, with long years of teaching experience in science, and had attended seminars/ trainings in science both local and national levels. The Grade VI pupils were somewhat individualized in their teaching style. Some of the recommendations include: a) In-service training/seminars be conducted to be focused on the teaching styles and learning styles; b. science teacher development plan be included in the priority effort of the school administration c. give attention to the science needs of the school if the intention is to excel in science d. similar study be conducted taking into account the other public elementary schools in the region: and the training design is recommended for adoption by the schools in the region.
