This study aimed to determine the predictors of career uncertainty levels among freshmen college students at Pangasinan State University Asingan and Sta. Maria Campus. Using a descriptive correlational research design, data were gathered from 223 freshmen college students during the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024, selected through a stratified random sampling technique. Standardized scales were utilized to collect data on respondents’ career uncertainty, self-esteem, self-efficacy, personality traits, burnout, and career decision-making difficulties. Data analysis involved frequency counts, average weighted mean, and Stepwise Multiple Linear Regression Analysis using SPSS 21. Results indicate that most respondents exhibit high levels of career uncertainty. Multiple Linear Regression analysis suggests that occupational information, personality traits (specifically conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism), cynicism, and inconsistent information significantly predict career uncertainty (p < 0.05). These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing career uncertainty and emphasize the importance of incorporating them into developing effective career intervention programs.
