Abstract
The study sought to determine the potential of Indian Mango (Mangifera indica) Peel Extract as electrolyte to common dry cell by determining its pH and voltage in the following forms - Liquid Form Crude Extract, Liquid Form Ethanol Extract, Jelly Form Crude Extract, Jelly Form Ethanol Extract, and each in volumes of 10 mL, 15 mL, and 20 mL.
The 20 mL liquid form of crude extract produced the highest voltage with a mean of 1.120. It was able to power a LED utilizing six (6) cells, a calculator with two (2) cells, and an alarm clock with ten (10) cells. The values that were obtained in the activity using the LED device was used to determine the capacity of the battery. The battery capacity is
309.129 mAh. An electrochemistry laboratory kit with instruction manual was developed as a product of the experiment and was rated Very High in validity.
