dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine the job performance of anti-illegal drug (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region as basis in developing an Enhancement Program. The study sought answers to the following questions: (1) What is the profile of the respondents along age, gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, rank/position/designation, length of service, geographical assignment and training/seminars attended? (2) What dominant factors contribute to the job performance of anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region in terms of behavioural and operational aspects? (3) What is the level of compliance of anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives with the different Standard Operating Procedures along pre-operation phase, operation phase and post-operation phase in the Cordillera Administrative Region? and (4)What is the degree of seriousness of problems encountered by the respondents in relation to their job as anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region? The descriptive-survey method of research was used in the study with the questionnaire checklist as the main data-gathering tool. A total of ninety-two (92) anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region were identified and responded positively in this study. The study shows the following findings: the anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives are from different clusters considering their age, gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, rank/position/designation, length of service, geographical assignment and training/seminars attended; the dominant factors that contribute to the job performance of anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region in terms of behavioural and operational aspects got a mean rating of 3.99 described as highly dominant; the level of compliance of anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region with the different Standard Operating Procedures along pre-operation phase, operation phase and post-operation phase is described as “very highly complied” with a mean rating of 4.30; finally, the degree of seriousness of problems encountered by the respondents in relation to their job as anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region got a mean rating of 3.66 described as highly serious. Based from the findings and conclusions, an enhancement program was proposed to improve more the job performance of the anti-illegal drugs (narcotics) operatives in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
