The poultry industry is encountering difficulties due to costly feeds brought about by high cost of raw materials. One way of reducing the cost of feeds in broiler production is substitute the existing commercial feed with the local feedstuff like canistel fruit meal. Hence, this study was conducted to determine the performance of broilers fed with canistel fruit meal at varying levels(10%, 20%, 30% BSC) as feed substitute. This was conducted at Barangay Bacsayan, San Juan, La Union from October 31to December 05, 2015. A total of 60 heads 14-day-old broiler chicks were distributed randomly in four dietary treatments following the RCBD in three blocks. Results revealed that birds fed with pure Broiler Starter Crumble performed comparably with birds fed with 10% CFM + 90% BSC in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion ratio and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost. Comparable results on feed consumption was noted among the different dietary treatments.
