Vitamins/minerals are given to animals in extremely minute quantities. Vitamins/minerals provide defense against diseases, promote growth reproduction and contribute to the general health of the body. This study aimed to determine the effect of different brand of vitamin/mineral sources (caliber, cecical, afsillin) for broiler from November 15 to December 2008 at Taekwood of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, North La Union Campus, Bacnotan, La Union. A total of 60 birds were distributed into four treatments using Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) replicated three times. The result of the study revealed that birds fed with different brand of vitamin/mineral sources showed comparable performance in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed conversion efficiency and profit. On the other hand birds not given vitamin/mineral source resulted to significantly higher feed consumption.
