The backwashing process plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of water filtration systems in water refilling stations. This study focuses on the development of a Micro-Controller based backwash controller tailored for use in such stations, based on the principles outlined in existing filtration and backwashing methodologies. The researchers used project development as the research design of the study. The controller aims to make the backwashing process an easier task. It includes a timer which shows that the duration of the said process can be monitored through the LCD Screen. By automating the backwash process, the controller helps prevent filter clogging and makes backwashing process easier to perform. Additionally, the backwash controller allows owners to monitor water usage by flow rate and water discharge considering the time duration. This innovation promises enhanced reliability, reduced operational costs, and reduces the manual labor involved in system maintenance.
