dc.description.abstractThe study assesses the competencies of virtual assistants in La Union. The study used a qualitative method wherein questionnaires and face-to-face interviews were used to gather data. Th researcher made used of frequency counts, percentages and median in treating the data statistically. A sample of 10 virtual assistant in La Union were tapped. The results indicate that most virtual assistant were female college graduates, between 18 to 40 years old, married and earn more than 15,000 pesos a month. Their employment types were mainly commission-based, direct and indirect and the occupations of such people were working in banking and digital marketing. The virtual assistant were very highly competent with an overall median 4.75. Some common problems of the virtual assistants include time management, cultural differences, job security and technical difficulties.
