The study explored and evaluated the extraction of natural dye from the flower of the kamias (Averrhoa bilimbi) plant for use as a natural colorant for cotton fabric. Four methods were used: natural extraction, pre-mordanting, post-mordanting, and simultaneous mordanting. The results showed good to excellent colorfastness and acceptability of the kamias flower as a natural colorant for cotton fabric.
