Abstract
This study was designed to determine the effects of
spacing on the yield of mungo. The Randomized Complete
Block Design was used with four treatments and replicated
three times. The following treatments were as follows:
Treatment 0 - control (broadcast); Treatment 1 - 10 om
spacing; Treatment 2 - 20 cm spacing; and Treatment 3 - 3O
cm spacing.
The study was conducted at Brgy. Ambalangan Dalin,
San Fabian pangasinan from December 1, 1997 to January 25,
1998.
The total land area is 15 square meters which was
divided into three plots to represent the three blocks and
the four treatments. Each treatment has 21 hill a and each
hill has three seeds planted.
Watering was done twice a week. Inseoti9ide: (Malathion
and Antracol)was sprayed to eliminate pests and control
diseases.
The fruits per treatment were weighed and counted
Statistical computations showed that spacing did not significantly
affect the yield of mungo in terms of number.
