Abstract
In order to solve the increasing demand and limiting supply of soybean in the country, the performance of seven soybean entries (Lg Sy 02-34-2, Lg Sy 02-34-10, Lg Sy 02-34-14, Lg Sy 02-34-27, Lg Sy 9956, Lg Sy 63 and Nsic Sy 9) were evaluated to identify the location specific and high yielding soybean entries under lacong, san gabriel, la union condition employing rcbd in four blocks from November 24, 2013 to February 19, 2014.
Lg Sy 02-34-2 significantly produced the longest pod (4.12 cm). LG Sy 63 had significantly developed the most number of pods per plant (35.28) and seeds per pod (2.77). LG Sy 02-34-14 and Lg Sy 63 had significantly exhibited the tallest plants. LG Sy 02-34-2 flowered and matured the earliest but produced the least number of pods per plant and number of seeds per pod. LG Sy 02-34-2, Lg Sy 02-34-27, Lg Sy 9956 and to NSIC Sy 9 (NC) are highly resistant to powdery mildew.
