Psychological trauma is frequently linked to traumatic events, such as road accidents, which are prevalent and being responded to by police officers. This research contested to identify the specific road accidents that police officers respond to that impacted them, including their psychological traumas and coping mechanisms. Researchers used qualitative research design employing a phenomenological approach. The study's respondents included sixteen (16) police officers from the Municipalities of La Union. Findings showed vehicle collision as the specific type of road accident the police officers responded to. Police officers' psycho traumatic experiences had an impact on their actions, emotions, cognition, and physical health. In addition, police officers also used problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, social coping, religious coping by praying, and meaning-making through mind-setting as their strategies for addressing their psycho-traumatic experiences. Researchers also proposed programs to mitigate the psycho-traumatic impacts that police officers experience from responding to road accidents.
