| dc.description.abstract | The very high cost of commercial feed prompted the poultry raisers top look for an alternative source of feed ingredients like cassava. This study was conducted to determine the performance and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost of broilers fed with cassava meal as feed extender at different levels (10%, 20% and 30%) employing the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in three replications. This study was conducted at the Ro-Nil-Ace compound, Sapilang, Bacnotan, La Union from November 11 to December 23, 2008. Results of the study revealed that birds fed with different levels of cassava meal as feed extender obtained similar performance to those birds fed with broiler starter mash in terms of final weight, gain in weight, feed consumption, feed conversion efficiency, and profit above feed, medicine and stock cost. | |
