dc.description.abstractThis study was designed to assess the farm profile of the sweet potato farm enterprise, marketing practices, level of profitability and problems encountered. Data gathered using questionnaire were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, ranking and average, weighted mean, and return on investment (ROI). The study revealed that there were three varieties planted by the respondents. Most of the respondents planted on the onset of rainy season that is from May to June and they harvested from 3 to 4 months after planting. All the respondents classify the sweet potato roots according to flesh skin and sizes of its roots, they used sacks for packaging and almost all the respondents sold their product by kilo. The profitability (ROI) computed was 163. 08%. The serious problems of the sweet potato respondents are inadequate capital for production expense, low production volume, and low buying prices by middlemen.
