Abstract
The use of bio-fertilizers as alternative to inorganic chemical fertilizers is now a trend because it is environmental friendly thus, this study was conducted to determine the performance of seedlings grafted with ‘Magallanes’ pomelo applied with bio-fertilizers and urea fertilizer in terms of survival rate, days to bud breaks; increase in diameter of rootstock and graft; height of graft and the production of shoots and leaves.
Bio-fertilizers such as Bio-N, Mykovam and Bio-N + Mykovam including the urea (control) were applied one month before grafting pomelo seedlings.
Findings of the study revealed that the application of bio-fertilizers had comparable effects with urea fertilizer application to grafted pomelo seedlings in terms on survival rate, diameter of stock and graft, height of graft, number of shoots and leaves and the number of days to graft bud break.
